AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS TRY NEW LIGHTER BAT

After the results of the 26th December, the Australians aren't so sure of their new lightweight bat they have developed, it doesn't seem to have lived up to expectations.

The idea was that batsman would not tire so easily and therefore score runs quicker, the new technology seems to have backfired, although the bat is lighter and is less wind resistant, it also proved less ball resistant.

After the trial on the 26th, they now have to go back to the drawing board, however the players have become used to the new bat and they have forgotten how to use a normal bat.

The bowlers have the same trouble, they can't bowl the opposition out unless they are also using the bat with the large hole, and the  Britt's just won't use it, I don't know why?

NEW TECHNOLOGY--THE AUSTRALIAN BAT

HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL WHO READ MY BLOG Particularly in the Northern Hemisphere

I WISH WE COULD SEND YOU SOME OF OUR WEATHER

News item, Scheduled for 23rd Dec, Government does back flip on asylum seekers after the release of recent polls and threatens to stop boats, they fear they are a terrorist threat.

News item, Scheduled for the 24 December: A sleigh-load of foreigners, obviously seeking asylum in Australia, was turned back from entering Australian waters by the navy, Immigration announced today.

The foreigners included an old bearded man, a number of short accomplices
(referred to, apparently, as "elves") and several reindeer.(the
reindeer have been placed in quarantine)

They were prevented from entering Australian waters around Christmas Island.

The Prime Minister, congratulated the navy on their courageous action in intercepting the queue-jumpers.

Apparently these queue-jumpers were wearing clothes similar to Guantanamo Bay inmates, their suits were red in colour, which caught the  Navy's attention.

"Their quick action could of saved our country", said the Prime Minister

"Our security sources have uncovered these asylum seekers' plans, once in Australia, to go to every city and town - indeed, they had intended to visit every house!

Fortunately, we have foiled their scheme. Who knows what terrible things would have happened if they had not been stopped in their tracks?"

"We alone, and not some foreign do-gooders, will decide who is allowed into this country."

The reaction has been swift, Children in Australia are threatening to strike, already they are refusing to make their beds and tidy up after themselves, they are calling it civil disobedience.

They have even threatened to never obey an Adult again?

Wickileaks has just released documents that infer that the Old gentleman refused entry was none other than Santa Claus, who is believed to be of Scandinavian decent.

The government is obviously worried, they are calling for a Royal Commission.

WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED AS THINGS UNFOLD

Julian Assange the truth sayer

Brendan O'Neill: Australian
Edited : By S W T Read 21 Dec 2010
Julian Assange the truth Sayer, no not really, he just a guy trying to let us know what governments really think.
The leakers are well meaning though sometimes misguided, Wickileaks vetts all this information like any newspaper.
They do not steal the information, they are guilty of being a popular site and providing a publisher, that's all.
The leakers have found a provider willing to give the people of the world information they are entitled to see, is this a sin?
Radicals, who are normally so sniffy about anything that looks or sounds like religion, are bending their collective knee to the "truth teller" Assange.
JUST in time for Christmas, the cult of Julian Assange has reached a Crescendo.
They consider Julian Assange to be "the way and the truth and the way to a better life". Truth in government and big business.
Here's a man who simply wants to reveal to us The Truth, yet who is persecuted and even imprisoned for doing so.
The pursuit of Assange by law enforcers represents the "persecution of truth itself", an American journalist says.
Just as Christmas is tinged with sadness for Christians, for well they know where this newborn babe of truth will end up at Easter time.
The Assange apostles warn us that their "truth teller" could end up dead, too, killed by the jealous and furious authorities as surely as Christ was.
We are witnessing the "secular crucifixion of Julian Assange", says one blogger.
A contributor says, "For our sake, he's being crucified to cover up the ineptness of security systems.
The security systems of countries are slack and who is paying for it, Julian Assange, why because they will not admit that it is their own fault.
That is precisely why we need Wickileaks, to show up deficiencies in governments.

ENGLISH BATSMEN- FROZEN OUT- IT WASN'T THE WEATHER!

Three and a half days on an old-fashioned WACA wicket has put England on the back foot, and Australia on the way to Boxing Day with a spring in its step.

Yesterday, it was Ryan Harris who provided the heroics, finishing with 6-47 in the second innings

How deflating for the Barmy Army was the unpredictable second day of this match.

At last, England had its foot on the Aussie throat in this harsh, hard-to-win land.

Finally, it seemed, the wheel had turned full circle and the long-time oppressor brought to its knees.
Then yet again, somehow, Australia found a way out of the death-lock.

When the Barmy Army first invaded these shores, in support of Mike Atherton's 1994-95 English tourists, not everyone was impressed. My memory is that it was largely English stuffed-shirts who were affronted.

Aussies, by and large, love the Barmy Army and the Army has surely by now won the war.
The Army's support for England through years of thick and thin has been inspiring; its humour and spirit in all manner of sporting adversity has been a lesson for us all.
The Aussie team is portrayed in the media as a wild, barely civilised bunch of uncultured, sledging colonials who have the temerity to challenge Englands ownership of the game..
Even the thought of these descendants of the criminal classes actually winning is somehow against the divine order of things. Yet win they did, for many years.

Cricket folklore has it that the home of cricket was called Lords rather than Ladies to prevent it losing its virginity to the Australian test team every four years.

Before an Ashes Series in Australia there is a crescendo of anti-Pom invective.

The Pom team are portrayed as a pathetic, whinging, spineless bunch of toffee-nosed fops, dilettantes and in-bred wankers who wouldn’t know which end to hold a cricket bat even if it was inserted in their rear end.

The English team in recent times has broken the mold, we now have real competition, maybe.

The Aussie team is lauded as invincible, legendary, heroic, brilliantly talented, lovable larrikin Sons of the Southern Cross. They are battling to maintain this mantle.
There is a clear conviction in Australia that while cricket may have been invented in the UK it was perfected in Australia.

To reinforce this conviction Australia needs to win this series convincingly.

Should England draw the series and retain the Ashes, we will know doubt poor scorn on their ability, not to win outright will be seen as second rate.

If England wins(god forbid) Australia's very existence is threatened, our jokes and history may have to be rewritten.
Whoa! I think I may be overdoing it, we will always be superior, it's just a matter of how superior, I really don't think I can seriously contemplate defeat.

If I were English I would be more used to loosing and it wouldn't hurt as much.

Bank of America Join Blockers--Suspends Payments Made to WikiLeaks

In a sign of the increasing tensions between WikiLeaks and the corporate world, Bank of America has said it will no longer help process payments for the organization.
In late November they threatened to release leaks from a major United States bank with another data dump.

After MasterCard and PayPal, which is owned by eBay, announced they would no longer handle payments for WikiLeaks.

Maybe we all should think about this before buying on eBay, there are plenty of others who would be delighted to have our business.

Investors are worried that the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, was referring to Bank of America when he said in an interview with Forbes last month that he possessed a large cache of potentially embarrassing documents from a large American bank.

" I wonder ,wonder who,who wrote the leak on who"

This proves my theory about the these banks are pulling the plug on Wickileaks, it is for there own reasons, not necessarily because of pressure from the US government.

THE GFC (Global Financial Crisis) CONSPIRED BY BANKERS

The GFC has seen the average citizens of the world contribute massive amounts of money to the banking sector, have pension systems change, wages frozen or slashed and health systems cut to the bone.

What pray tell have we seen the banks do in this regard, nothing, there profits are still rising, they are still paying huge bonuses and they are complaining about to much regulation.

Not one major bank has collapsed, so who benefits?

Banks and Multi-Nationals are all announcing higher profits, so who suffered the most from this debacle.

The effect has been to lower wages and benefits across the globe, did our so called benefactors(banks etc.) decide that we we all had it to good and their profits need a boost.

Isn't it about time governments played in the banking game, the days of the market being the sole regulator is over.
The banks have ripped billions from governments around the world, with scant regard for the average Joe.

Surely government players would keep the bastards honest, let's give them some real competition. Bring back some government owned banks.

Break up this o'le  boys club where they look after their own "all pally, pally like".
There perhaps as many as 27 million people working in bondage in 2010.

Why is it that in every financial crisis wages, conditions and benefits are cut.
Why is it that the people who cause it always benefit.
Will ever learn, or must we keep repeating it, over and over.

NO CLIMATE CHANGE?- COME ON, IS THIS NORMAL?-IS IT BECOMING THE NORM?

Europe the UK, Ireland expecting -20C temperatures

Climate change sceptics where are you, the past few years have seen unbelievable weather, yet the sceptics and big multi-national oil players say it's not happening.

Governments across Europe are not equipped for these weather extremes and many are worried about the future,

With companies using large distribution centers located located kilometers from the points of sale(a cost saving) they are now wondering if this strategy was wise.

Recent weather has shown how vulnerable the supplies are, with streams of heavy vehicles blocking roads everywhere.
These just in time stocking systems are showing gaping holes, the whole system may have to be looked at again.

Should they have a month of this weather the whole system would collapse, we could see people starving, while huge warehouses bulge with supplies that can not be moved.

Climate change is here it seems and we'd better get serious about trying to control it and plan to live with these new weather extremes.

ANOTHER OF THOSE BLOODY SCEPTICS

BIG RETAILERS HATE ONLINE SHOPPERS-THEY WANT IT ALL, AS USUAL

Traditional retailers want the government to scrap the $1000 GST-free threshold for imported goods, arguing it puts them at an unfair disadvantage in competing with online stores.
They would like duty free shopping at Airports stopped also, because it is threatening their dominance of the market in Australia.
Remember they are struggling, they have 25% of every dollar spent in this country, yes, that's right, of every dollar spent 25 cents is going to them,
This more dominant than any other group of companies in the developed world.
Assistant Treasurer Bill Shorten said consumers should be able to shop in whatever manner they choose, including online.
The case for lowering the threshold has significant opposition, including the cost of collection and consumer objections.
The strong Australian dollar means consumers are increasingly turning to overseas websites for GST-free purchases.
The big players have bullied small grocery stores, wiped out competition in the petrol market and monopolised the fruit and vegetable market.
The government should get the Productivity Commission to investigate them urgently.
AUSTRALIAN CONSUMERS
ALWAYS ON THE RUN

TRUST A BANKER IN THIS DAY AND AGE--"DON'T THINK SO"!!

BANKERS INFER TREASURER IS LYING
   "FOR WHAT PURPOSE"
DON'T THEY LIKE THE NEW RULES
Bankers can always be relied on to tell the truth,Ha,Ha, or so we are to beleive, reading short examples below.
Chief Executive of the Commonwealth Bank, Mr Norris said today that Mr Swan had never contacted him to ask about the November rate rises or provide a justification for them.

“He hasn’t asked me specifically,” he said.

Mr Norris was also unaware that anybody else at the bank had justified the rate rises to the Treasurer.

Chief Executive of the National Australia Bank, Cameron Clyne, also told the committee on Monday that he
“did not have a conversation with the treasurer about the November rate rises”.

But Mr Swan today insisted that he did speak to Mr Norris and Mr Clyne about the November rate rises.

Why wouldn't he, he is the treasurer, he was really annoyed with the banks at the time. For the bankers to deny the conversation is nonsensical.

Are they playing politics again, sure looks like they are, as usual.

A BROKEN HEARTED BANKER

WICKILEAKS- BANKERS AND MULTI-NATIONALS- TERRIFIED

I'm sure we all thought that only governments were the people to worry about as far as attacks on Wickileaks, no, no, no,it's not just them good people, it's a lot wider than that.

Since Wickileaks warned about leaks about banks and multi-nationals being released early next year they are in lock down.

Has it occurred to you that these businesses have more clout with the money transacting companies than governments, they can't afford to loose their business.

Perhaps that why they acted so quickly blocking all transactions to Wickileaks.

This is big business using it's muscle, I think in fact they are more worried than governments, they have to stop these leaks being published and they've started with a bang!

UK Forensic Science Services to be wound up--British Justice to Now be judged by Cost not Quality

"Cost will now determine justice in the UK".
The government is putting its faith in an untested market to deliver forensic science at a time when it has never been more important to the detection of crime."
This decision will "destroy a world-class body" that was envied by international police and lead to an over-emphasis in profits in the sector, this could threaten the quality of the science.
They'll seeing a better turnaround in terms of the way in which forensics are being processed, they hope.
When we look at the conflicting results with DNA testing from different labs, I am less than confident that they will achieve the results they crave.
Is it an improvement in the justice system??
Spending cuts meant police forces had less money for forensics consultancy and were increasingly taking such work in-house.THE MEASURE OF JUSTICE IN ENGLAND

Sweden is becoming a clone of the United States, however the US does have a mind of it's own.
The robotic like behaviour of the Swedes makes me wonder if this Scandinavian country has had a mass lobotomy, the treatment of Assange by this once independent country is truly over the top.
They are now opposing bail saying that no conditions set by the courts in England are acceptable.
Where has the renown sense of fairness of Swedes disappeared to, is the collar fitted to this lap dog so tight that they can't think.
Please Swedes can't you convince your authorities to act humanely.

Report: After WikiLeaks, Pentagon Bans Removable Devices

By: Leslie Horn, Edited by: S W Read: 11 Dec 2010
In the wake of WikiLeaks' release of more than 250,000 classified U.S. diplomatic cables, the Pentagon is reportedly taking measures to prevent this type of breach from happening again.
There reaction time is staggering, they are known for Shock and Awe. The reaction time could be measured while counting sheep.
If I were an American I would be horrified, you would think they would have immediately issued such an order straight after the the first leak emerged.
Wired just obtained an order stating that the commander ANO, Air Force Network Operations commander Maj. Gen. Richard Weber directs soldiers to "immediately cease the use of removable media on all systems, servers, and stand alone machines residing on SIPRNET," the classified Defense Department network. All branches of the military have issued similar orders.

WICKILEAKS-VERSUS - "OPENLEAKS"

This proposed new site, coming at this time seems to be the competition taking advantage of a Wickileaks weakened opposition.
A sceptical person may think something very different.

They may think for instance that it is a perfect opportunity to create a site that lures potential leakers to submit their information to a site that is nothing but a front for certain Governments (who we all know).

This would mean that all leaks would be vetted before being published, we would never get to see any important information, they would drop us all some crumbs occasionally to make it seem real.
Ensuring that we are treated like the proverbial mushrooms, fed on bullshit and kept in the dark.

OpenLeaks.org will go live on Monday, according to Swedish site DN.se. One of the site's backers, who wished to remain anonymous, said of the site, "its long-term goal is to build a strong, transparent platform to support whistle blowers-both in terms of technology and politics-while at the same time encouraging others to start similar projects."

People can submit documents to the system, and "various collaborating organizations" will process and publish that information.

These are only my own thoughts on the matter, however you don't need too much imagination to reach this conclusion.
