Joe de Bruyn--- has his eye on the prize
This gentleman is Joe de Bruyn, leader of the Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association. Joe is at the forefront of protecting families from a vicious attack on their status in society. What is the nature of this threat? If you guessed Free Beer At Work Choices, you'd be wrong. The biggest danger to Australian families isn't a government hell bent on destroying the union he leads, it's a couple of men/women getting married.DO HIS UNION MEMBERS AGREE, HAS HE ASKED?
"It robs marriage of its unique and privileged status and it puts it on the same level as a radically different type of union," Mr de Bruyn said."At a time when we are fighting to protect working families, we are at the same time attacking the status of those same families."
Having succeeded in protecting Australian families from the dire threat of other people having sex in a way he doesn't like, Joe moved on to his next challenge. Protecting unborn union members. It's a major ethical challenge for Mr de Bruyn:
A store manager has his staff suspended above the deep fat fryer, after having forced them to sign AWAs, Mr de Bruyn is about to drop them in right in it, he doesn't consider it a major win.
He is more concerned about stem cells, abortion, gay marriage and I'm sure the rhythm method loosing favour.
On the other hand if you have a beaker full of 500 rapidly defrosting embryonic stem cells and some distance away is a vat of liquid nitrogen that will save the stem cells.
Mr de Bruyn, what do you do?
We don't know Joe, there may be a clue in the fact that you are a member of OPUS DEI

Indoctrinated blind faith is not my kind of faith.
As someone who has spent quite some time in a wheelchair I can assure you that it was not one of my first thoughts.
I thought tough titties get on with life, make the best of it!
