cigarettes plan
11/07/2011 - 14:49:10A bill has been drafted by politicians in Iceland which may pave the way for cigarettes to be sold on prescription only.
The move is part of a 10-year plan to cut the level of smoking in the country.
The bill also includes proposals for a ban on smoking in cars when children are present, and a ban on lighting up in all public places, indoors and outside.
Politicians will vote on the bill when they return to parliament following their summer break.
