HORSES(Camels) FOR COURSES--Mongolian vs Australian camel racing--"The difference, only the temperature"

Snow joke: Mongolian tribesmen take part in a camel race

These pictures show scenes from the winter Naadam festival in Hulun Buir, in north China's Inner Mongolia region. The event showcases Mongolian camel racing.

NOT TO BE OUTDONE--AUSSIES MAKE DO.
When we couldn't have horse racing, Camel racing was the next best thing in Australia.
Horse racing was banned because of a virus in many horses at the time.

To go without racing was just not on, so Camel races filled the gap, typical, an Aussie will always find a way and lets face it we'll bet on almost anything.
