'JULIA Gillard has confirmed she held talks with former NSW premier Bob Carr over drafting him to serve in her government.'
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In some journalists minds(those above in particular) this is sparking fresh opposition attacks on her honesty and political judgment. These people, it appears write the script for the opposition.
This is typical of the reporting in the "Australian", it seems that this PM is continuously attacked for having legitimate conversations with anyone.
It is her business alone, why should she have to confirm or deny a personal conversation.
Journalists are always starting rumors from unknown persons. Once started they write a followup...and on and on it goes, as you can see below.
'Labor MPs continued to express concern about Ms Gillard's handling of a cabinet reshuffle sparked by the retirement of former foreign minister and beaten leadership candidate Kevin Rudd'.(Do we ever know the names of the MP's no...Never.)
These journos have in their article at least some truth rather than a guess, as shown below.
The Prime Minister will announce the reshuffle today and is expected to hand Defence Minister Stephen Smith the foreign affairs portfolio and promote former defence minister Joel Fitzgibbon back to the frontbench. Sydney MP David Bradbury is tipped for promotion to the ministry
Hooray Guys you got something right for once!
