Australian slant on Bill Clinton's speech
These are some extracts from Bill Clinton's speech, I thought he was describing the Coalition in Australia, because these parties seem to mirror one another, it's as if they don't realize that governments are there to carry out things that individuals alone cannot do, like spending on schools hospitals and infrastructure.
I wonder would we ever have had the Snowy scheme or the highways or railways. What about Medicare, I could go on, but the right wing is now in charge of the Coalition, even Malcolm Turnbull is not listened to anymore.
BILL CLINTON's WORDS
"A winner-take-all, you're-on-your-own society".
His description of Republicans..."Read Coalition"
"What works in the real world is cooperation".
His description of Democrats...(Read Labor)
"Unfortunately, the faction that now dominates the Republican Party(Read Coalition) doesn't see it that way.
" They think government is always the enemy," he said, "and compromise is weakness."
This description is uncanny..think Coalition.
"Advancing equal opportunity and economic empowerment is both morally right and good economics”, say Democrats (Read Labor)
“The Republicans(Read Coalition)
Want to give tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires!
“The most important question is, what kind of country do you want to live in?” Clinton asked.
This is the same question Australians should be asking!
“If you want a winner-take-all, you’re-on-your-own government, you should support the Republicans (Read Coalition)
"If you want a country of shared opportunity and shared responsibility, and a we’re-all-in-this-together society, you should vote for Democrats
