A SEBASTOPOL woman will face numerous charges in Ballarat Magistrates Court next month after she allegedly glued her housemate’s eyes shut and strangled him before setting fire to his jacket and beating him with a prosthetic leg.
The man arrived at Ballarat Base Hospital’s emergency department late Sunday night with his eyes glued shut and one ear filled with glue, plus a number of other injuries, police said.Ballarat Police Senior Sergeant Paul Kinna said the 48-year-old woman allegedly attacked the 64-year-old man about 5.30pm on Easter Sunday after a dispute between the pair at their house.
The woman was charged yesterday with intentionally causing serious injury, recklessly causing injury and reckless conduct endangering serious injury.
She was bailed to appear at Ballarat Magistrates Court on May 2.
The victim, who was transferred to a Melbourne eye and ear specialist on Sunday, is now in a stable condition at the Ballarat Base Hospital.
