If the health minister in Victoria had to resign for mishandling virus, then surely the Aged Care minister in the federal government should leave.
His handling of federal oversight of nursing homes was an example of hear no evil see no evil, and then to do nothing. Perhaps another case of being blind to some ones incompetence is shown by the Prime Minister Morrison, who has refused to take any action against this minister.
Just how many deaths could have been avoided if the federal government had carried out proper inspection of Nursing Homes. This minister is like many others who held this portfolio they have taken no notice of the numerous and daily complaints from workers and residents for years.
This instance it has highlighted what a parlous state the homes were in, and yet we still have the person in charge saying it's got nothing to do with him.
